I grew up in Wishart and went to school here, so it holds a special place in my heart. It’s an honour to sell Wisart real estate, and doing so has given me strong insights into the suburb, its people and what makes it tick!

1. Delavan Street
Delavan Street has an outstanding reputation for a reason. Here, the tightly held homes can often sit in the same family for generations. Wide frontages, generous blocks, well-kept homes and a family vibe make it easy to see why.
There’s not too much through traffic on Delavan Street, and the abundance of nearby parkland makes it a safe and enjoyable place for families to raise kids. It’s in the Mansfield State High School catchment, which is a short drive away. It’s a great location for anyone wanting a bit of quiet without sacrificing convenience.

The houses are built on big blocks and there have been some stunning uplifts to properties over the years. By far the standout feature though is Berkshire Crescent Park. With a dog off-leash area, basketball half court and plenty of green space to take in, this is a serene and well-equipped spot to enjoy the great outdoors.

Joining up with Ham Road on one side and crossing over Newnham Road too, it connects you directly to the main arterials leading in and out of the suburb. It’s well-serviced with bus stops too, and just a few short minutes drive from all the popular schools in the suburb.
St Catherine’s Primary School, Brisbane Adventist College, Wishart State School, Mansfield State School and Mansfield State High are all easily accessible by residents of Wishart Road. This makes it very appealing to parents.
There are also a number of shopping centres just a couple of turns away. Let’s take a look at some of the nearby highlights:
